Welcome to ISKOOLE

ISKOOLE is a Sri Lankan digital education ecosystem that provides school websites, Learning Management Systems (LMS), student and teacher management tools, parent connectivity, and educational communication systems. Your privacy and data security are important to us.

Account Information

When users register, we may collect:

  • Full name
  • Email address
  • Mobile number
  • School information
  • User role (Student, Teacher, Parent, School Admin, etc.)
  • Birthday (optional) — used only to auto-suggest the correct grade level; never shared or used for advertising
  • Gender (optional) — used only for personalization within ISKOOLE; never shared or used for advertising

School Information

Schools may provide:

  • School name
  • Logo
  • Contact information
  • Website content
  • Staff profiles
  • Notices and announcements

Student & Academic Information

Authorized schools may manage:

  • Student records
  • Admission numbers
  • Class assignments
  • Attendance
  • Marks and academic reports

This information is controlled by the respective school.

Technical Information

We may automatically collect:

  • Device type
  • Browser type
  • IP address
  • Usage statistics
  • Login timestamps

This helps improve performance and security.

However, no online platform can guarantee absolute security.

Google Sign-In & Google User Data

ISKOOLE offers Sign in with Google as an optional authentication method. This section explains exactly what Google account data we request, how we use it, and how you can revoke access. ISKOOLE's use and transfer of information received from Google APIs adheres to the Google API Services User Data Policy, including the Limited Use requirements.

Google data we request

When you choose Sign in with Google, we request only the following non-sensitive OAuth scopes:

  • openid — to authenticate your sign-in
  • email — your Google account email address
  • profile — your name and profile picture

We do not request access to Gmail, Drive, Calendar, Contacts, or any other sensitive or restricted Google user data.

How we use this data

  • Create or sign you in to your ISKOOLE account
  • Display your name and profile photo inside your school workspace
  • Send essential account and school notifications to your email

We do not sell Google user data, do not use it for advertising, and do not share it with third parties except as needed to provide the ISKOOLE service (for example our authentication and hosting providers).

We collect no other Google user data. We do not access Gmail, Drive, Calendar, Contacts, Photos, YouTube data, or any restricted/sensitive Google API scopes.

Limited Use compliance

ISKOOLE's use and transfer to any other app of information received from Google APIs will adhere to the Google API Services User Data Policy, including the Limited Use requirements. Specifically, ISKOOLE will not:

  • Use Google user data to serve advertisements (including retargeted, personalised, or interest-based advertising).
  • Sell, rent, or trade Google user data to data brokers, advertisers, or any other third party.
  • Allow humans to read Google user data, unless we have your explicit consent for specific messages, it is necessary for security (e.g. abuse investigation), to comply with applicable law, or the data is aggregated and used for internal operations in line with applicable privacy rules.
  • Use Google user data to train, fine-tune, or evaluate generalised or third-party AI / ML models.
  • Transfer Google user data to third parties except as necessary to provide or improve the ISKOOLE service (e.g. our authentication and hosting infrastructure), to comply with applicable law, or as part of a merger, acquisition, or sale of assets with your notice.

Storage, retention & deletion

  • Your Google account ID, name, email and profile picture URL are stored securely in our database while your ISKOOLE account is active.
  • OAuth access and refresh tokens are stored only as long as needed to keep you signed in, and are encrypted at rest.
  • You can revoke ISKOOLE's access to your Google account at any time at https://myaccount.google.com/permissions.
  • You can request full account and data deletion by emailing info@iskoole.com or via the in-app Settings → Delete Account flow — we will remove your personal data (including data obtained from Google) within 30 days, except where retention is required by applicable law.

  • Respect school and student privacy

Schools are responsible for managing their internal users and content.

when necessary.
